Dr. Erin Son grew up in Texas, where she earned her DDS degree from UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry. After graduating dental school, she married her dental school sweetheart. Together, they moved to Stony Brook, New York to pursue their respective residency programs. 

At Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Son continued her dental education where she received a certificate in a General Practice Residency. Her passion for anatomy and radiology led her to apply for the Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Residency program at the same institution, where she received her certificate and was named chief resident. 

After completing residency, Dr. Son returned to her Texas roots, where she is happy to be close to family and friends. She enjoys interpreting scans, as it allows her to channel her passion for radiology and continue making contributions to the dental field. 

Outside of radiology, she enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, cooking authentic New York-style pizzas, and hiking in local state parks.
